Stephanie qualified with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy in 2005 and has specialised in the field of neurology and neurorehabilitation since 2009. She is a highly skilled, compassionate and reflective physiotherapist with extensive experience in a broad range of neurological conditions.
Stephanie is passionate about rehabilitation and creating an approach and culture that is conducive to enabling patients to achieve their goals, maximise their independence and improve their health and well-being. Skilled in the Bobath Concept, she is committed to delivering patient centred-care whilst taking a holistic approach to treatment.
Stephanie has held senior roles across a variety of neurological settings, including in the community, on the Regional Neurology Rehabilitation Unit, and as a Therapy Lead on an acute stroke unit. After completing a MSc module in Injection Therapy in 2016, she was an injecting clinician in a Spasticity Service where she utilised her enhanced clinical-reasoning skills to assess and treat patients with complex spasticity needs. Throughout her career, Stephanie has been proactive in taking on additional roles to develop services and enhance patient experiences. These have included leadership and educator roles, such as formulating training programmes for therapists, nurses, students and care assistants.
Stephanie has completed numerous MSc modules and post graduate courses which have contributed to her specialist knowledge of treatment adjuncts. She enjoys networking and keeps current with the latest advancements in the field of neurorehabilitation, ensuring her interventions are evidence-based and up-to-date. Stephanie is a member of the Health Professions Council (HCPC), Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP), the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists with an Interest in Vestibular Rehabilitation (ACPIVR) and ACPIN (Association of Physiotherapists Interested in Neurology).
