Qualifications: MSc in Advancing Practice (Physiotherapy)
Lisa qualified as a chartered physiotherapist from St Thomas’s Hospital in 1989. She has specialised in neurosciences since 1992 and worked in all areas from neuro intensive care to community rehabilitation. She has participated in research and teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
She worked in the NHS until 2004 and her final post was as clinical specialist in a regional rehabilitation unit. Since then, she has been in private practice, providing physiotherapy in patients’ homes. She sees a variety of patients including those with acquired brain injury, spinal cord injury and stroke. Her particular areas of interest are vestibular and balance rehabilitation and late stage recovery. In 2011, she completed an MSc in Advancing Practice (Physiotherapy). She also works as an expert witness in the field of adult brain injury.
In her spare time, Lisa enjoys walking her Border terrier Phin, horse riding, Pilates and gardening.
