Jenny graduated from the University of East Anglia in 1997 with a BSc Hons degree in Physiotherapy. She developed a passion for neurology early on in her career and has experience within the acute setting, in rehabilitation units and in the community. Jenny has worked as a physiotherapist in the UK, Australia and New Zealand.
Jenny’s career started at Whipps Cross Hospital in Leytonstone where she achieved an excellent grounding in all areas of physiotherapy. She then worked as a locum for a couple of years in London before living and working in Australia and then New Zealand. On returning to the UK in 2003, Jenny moved to the Brighton area and started to work for Worthing and Southlands Trust on the Neurology rotation. After the birth of her first child in 2005, Jenny took a part time static post as a Senior Physiotherapist at the Sussex Rehabilitation Centre (SRC). The Centre provides in-patient rehabilitation for adults living in Sussex with acquired neurological conditions. Jenny now works as the Physiotherapy Lead on the Unit. Her duties include supporting a team of physiotherapists and assistants and teaching under graduate physiotherapy students.
Jenny has completed many professional courses including the 3 week Bobath course and she keeps up to date with local in-services and courses and is an active committee member of the local ACPIN group.
Jenny lives in Southwick with her husband and two children and is keen on promoting fitness and health for all. She loves her career as a Neurological Physiotherapist and enjoys the part she plays in helping clients to achieve their goals.
