Sophie qualified in 2008 from the University of Liverpool. She worked as a rotational physiotherapist at Arrowe Park Hospital before moving into a senior role with the Black Country Partnership Trust. Sophie went on to specialise as a neurological physiotherapist within the community, working both within the private & NHS sector in Worcestershire. She has since taken up a post as a specialist neurological physiotherapist at the Regional Rehabilitation Unit at Northwick Park Hospital, where she has worked for two years.
Sophie has gained experience in treating a wide range of neurological presentations from brain injury and stroke to multiple sclerosis and cerebral palsy. Sophie thoroughly enjoys the work that she does and finds the challenges each new day brings allows her to work with a flexible, innovative & solution focused approach. Sophie enjoys developing strong therapy-patient relationships in order to work together with her patients to achieve their goals. Sophie has attended further training developing her skills in vestibular management, functional electrical stimulation & movement analysis. She also has a particular interest in postural management.
Sophie is a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP), registered with the Healthcare Professions Council (HCPC) and is a member of the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists Interested in Neurology (ACPIN).
