Lisa is a Senior Consultant Speech, Language and Cognitive Therapist with over 25 years experience working in the rehabilitation of adults and children with communication, cognitive and swallowing difficulties resulting from neurological injury or disease. She is a specialist in treating people with difficulties resulting from:
- A Brain tumour
- A Stroke
- A Head injury
- Parkinson’s Disease
- Motor Neurone Disease
- Alzheimers disease
- Multiple Sclerosis (MS)
Lisa will work closely with a patient to support and enable them and their family to communicate as effectively as possible and manage any cognitive difficulties such as memory or processing problems.
Lisa is currently in private practice having founded The Brain Injury Communication Clinic in 2004. She is on the Advisory Committee for Aphasia for the Stroke Association and works alongside the team at the London Neurosurgery Partnership in Harley Street, London. She has held several specialist posts in London NHS hospitals; has been head of department for two neurological rehabilitation units; and has been a post graduate clinical tutor at The City University, London.
Patients can be referred for assessment and treatment via their Consultant, GP, Healthcare professional or by self referral. Appointments can be made either in Wimpole Street, London, in Guildford, or at home if appropriate.
