Anthea qualified in 1985 from the London Hospital and has worked in neurology since 1987. Her experience includes working in Regional Neurosurgical and Neurorehabilitation Units, and a large South London teaching hospital.
Since 2003 she has worked part-time in the community for CSH Surrey, where she is the lead clinician in neuro-physiotherapy and a member of the Neurorehabilitation Pathways Team, and part-time in private practice.
Anthea has extensive experience with stroke, head injury, MS, PD, MND, Myasthenia Gravis, Guillian Barre, and SCI. She has a particular interest in working with adults with cerebral palsy and cervical dystonia. She has a special interest in spasticity management and has completed a MSc Injection therapy course. In addition she offers mentoring to other senior neuro-physiotherapists.
Anthea’s approach is goal orientated and problem solving; her priorities are to understand the persons expectations of physiotherapy and to plan treatment with them to meet their individual needs.
She is a member the Association of Physiotherapists interested in Neurology (ACPIN)
