Fiona is a passionate and enthusiastic therapist, focusing on the needs of each individual client and tailoring therapy to the client’s own goals.
She graduated from the London Hospital in 1991. She completed her basic training at St Bartholamews Hospital and went on to specialise in the treatment of patients with acquired brain injury and progressive neurological conditions. She has worked in both the acute and rehabilitation settings including a 10 year period at the Regional Rehabilitation Unit (RRU) at Northwick Park Hospital where Fiona was one of the lead physiotherapists and set up the Outreach Community Programme at the RRU. She has a wide knowledge of the Bobath concept having completed both the basic and advanced courses.
Fiona has also taught physiotherapy students both at under-graduate and post-graduate level. She follows a problem-solving and goal directed approach to the management and treatment of all patients. She works collaboratively with the rest of the multidisciplinary team and where possible accesses and liaises with local NHS services.
Fiona is a member of the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists Interested in Neurology (ACPIN). She continues to attend courses to extend and further her skills.
